A childhood Inspiration

This piece was a gift to my father from a grateful mother of someone's sponsor child from Korea at World Vision  many years ago.  I used to just stare at the stitches as a child and was memorized by the workmanship. I think this piece is why I started doing embroidery in the first place. I wish I knew the whole story of this piece but for now it is just a childhood inspiration.:)

It is sad to know that modern-day slavery still exists in the form of human trafficking. I hope that this is abolished in my lifetime and that we care enough to do what we can do to keep these children safe around the world.
