“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”
– Louisa May AlcottRainbows and butterflies, my husband is always teasing me that I see the world that way. Well, in reality, the world feels like it's spinning. Almost everyone i know is going through something. My prayer list is getting larger and I only did a few small art pieces this summer, but I did paint a larger one. this one is a much more serious subject then what i usually paint. Maybe it's making me see things a little different lately. This season has been especially difficult in a different way, we have some changes happening and no way to see what's around the corner.
Faith rescues a heart held captive by sorrow.
Hope guides a soul out of the shadows into the light.
Love is simply everything else,

I have this song stuck in my head, over the last few days. A song from the seventies.
"Dog and a Butterfly" by Heart
The lyrics could have so many meanings, especially for an over thinker like me.
Laying on the grass, daydreaming on a hot summer's day,
watching the dog play and the butterflies fly by.
A few theories...
*Physical or emotional child abuse
*The lightness of the freedom of the Butterfly (a safe space)
*Get back up and try (she has to try).
*Reaching for higher things that can't be reached and soft landing.
*escaping all the political news on an election year :)
the song has so many meaning depending who you ask. What do you think?

At night, Jannatul's mother sings her to sleep with a quiet lullaby.
“I pat her back and hold her closely in my arms", says Salima. In the dark, there is peace until morning. The world's largest refugee camp is located near Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Families live in small overcrowded and hot shelters made of bamboo and plastic tarps that often leak during monsoon season storms.
I am wearing some earrings that were made in a refugee camp in Bangladesh called the women’s peace center that World Vision provides for women that are regularly abused by their husbands. The women there live in such small quarters that getting away with other women and making jewelry is a highlight to their day. With Covid 19 now, how hard it must be for them to not be able to get away very easily. I would think that it would affect them very much!
Sponsoring a child is one of the most effective ways to help fight poverty in the life of a child. Look through the videos and pictures of children that would love to have a sponsor, you can't help them all but for 39 a month you can help one child reach their potential.
Every one child you sponsor, helps the family they live with and four more children.
Sponsor a child today!
Safe for He is my refuge
Blood He has shed for me
Firm on the Rock of Ages
Ever my trust shall be
Firm on the Rock of Ages
Here let me wait with patience
Wait till the night is o’er
Wait till I see the morning
Break on the golden shore
Safe, safe
Safe in the arms of Jesus
Lyrics Meghan O BrienFor this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
2 Cor 4:17-18
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Phil 4:8Safe in the arms of Jesus A Safe Place to Land
